The steps of film production strategy The moving image is the film. It goes without saying that the impact and promotion of the film in modern society. Movies are a form of visual entertainment. Where both visual and audio can be enjoyed simultaneously. Film ranks among the strongest and most trusted mediums in the world of entertainment. The word film comes from a moving picture. The concept of film usually dates back to the late nineteenth century. In Bengali, the words movie, cinema, movie or film are used as synonyms for film.
A very important stage of a film is the film making technique. Filmmaking is an early stage. Because a complete film is made based on this construction technique. Making a film is a result of a lot of time, patience and hard work. Making a movie can be divided into three levels:
1) Pre-production 2) Pro-production 3) Post-production
There are usually two types of films. One is 'short film' (40 minutes or less) and 'feature film' (over 40 minutes and one and a half to three and a half hours film). However, in the case of making any film, the production strategy is done by following these three stages.
1) Pre-production - The first and initial step of making a film is pre-production. This means that all the work that is done before the shooting of a film is called pre-production. These include screenwriting, story boards, budgeting, photo-timeline, casting, shooting time and place selection.
● Screenplay - The idea of the film is captured in the screenplay. The overall plan of the director is put in writing so that the tradition is in fact the form of the screenplay. Screenplay usually describes visual ideas in writing. The topics mentioned in the screenplay are:
1) What will be the scene.
2) Where will the scenes be shot.
3) Some scenes will be shot outside.
4) Scenes will be shot at any time of the day (morning, afternoon, evening, etc.)
5) What are the characters?
6) Character dialogue.
7) Character costumes.
8) Description of different props.
* Story Board - The second stage of pre-production is the story board. Story board usually means a complete form of the screenplay. That is, the way a producer's thoughts are described in a screenplay is expressed through a presentation on the story board. The story board is used as an example of how the dialogue of the screenplay will be served so that the camera man can have a proper idea about the scene during the shooting. Also inside the story board, the characters' costumes, props, their gestures and the direction of the camera are all explained through pictures.
*Budgeting - Usually enough money is needed to make a film. So a director takes a step towards filmmaking strategy keeping in mind the issue of budgeting in filmmaking. Photo lighting, sound perception, proper budget should be made to equip the film properly. Based on this budget, the director, co-director and director of photography were engaged in the next work of the film.
● Determining the place-time-pot of a picture - Usually when making a film, the story has to be selected first. The story is then translated into the language of the film. That is, the script is written. Then comes the turn to find the appropriate background for the story. It is very important to choose the right place for the film.Because if the appropriate place does not match with the scene of the picture, the picture will not be published properly in the audience. If you don't shoot in the right location, the reality of the film may be shattered. So it is important to choose the right place for the picture and frame it.
*Casting - Casting is very important in filmmaking. Because to play the role of a character, I want an actor or actress like mind. Who can come out of his personal being and adopt a character. So in this case actor-actress has to be selected. The casting should include some actors-actresses who can highlight the character aspects of the character. And their acting seems to fascinate everyone. It is better to cast on a different day for each character.
*Determining the time and place of shooting -
An important step after choosing the location of the shooting is to arrange the shooting place as much as possible according to the screenplay, according to the story board, highlight the space, sound anagona and various aspects of the camera. This does not cause any problem on the day of shooting.
In addition to the above, there are a few more things to keep in mind in the case of pre-production. They are -
*Arranging lighting. *Arranging make-up.
*Ordering costumes. *Arranging meals for all the actors of the shooting set.
2) Production phase - After pre-production, the work of production phase starts. This is where the shooting begins. In pre-production, actors and actresses rehearse. But in the production phase they have to come to the shooting set and shoot.
It is not just cameramen or actors and actresses who have jobs here. Rather the work of the people behind the camera and much more. Setting up lighting, providing make-up tools, frequently calling artists, fixing their costumes. The cameraman and the director choose the most accurate shot possible from the numerous shots that are usually taken in a scene. So the shoot is done by adapting to the situation by observing the right direction again and again. However, attempts are made to finish certain shots on certain days.
3) Post-production phase - Pre-production and the next phase of production is the post-production phase. There was usually a time when the filmmaker would touch this episode at the end of the shoot. However, in the midst of modernity, the directors immediately started working on this episode. After shooting the pictures, the shots of each scene go to different jobs at the end of the day. The whole work of this episode is usually done mechanically. The whole work is done with the help of computer.
*Editing -
Editing plays a very important role in making any film. The activities of a director and an editor are usually published here. Photo shoot scenes are edited through various editing software. The film director also lives here.
Effects, sound design, music are all added in this editing phase. The creativity of an editor is also evident here. So the compatibility of a director and an editor is very important in this episode.
● Music - sound and its proper application is a very important element of a film. Music is not just about the music used in movies. Different types of feelings are called comfort. The director uses one type of melody to express different ideas. One kind of tone is used to mean sorrow, one kind of tone is used to mean joy, another type is used to mean some thrilling scenes. This makes the reality of the scene more clear.
*Crediting - The last thing you want to do is create a picture. From actors and actresses to cameramen, linemen, costume designers, make-up artists, the names of all are mentioned in this episode. And with gratitude the construction of the film was completed.
● Presentation - Once the film is made, its work is not finished. Even after that, the director has a big job to do. That is the service. The film is released in every theater keeping in mind the needs of the audience at the right time. Of course, now there is an opportunity to distribute and download the film directly in theaters as well as in digital media.
A film is made by following each of the above steps. But whether a film will be good or not largely depends on the quality of the story, the quality of the screenplay and the skill of the director.
